The deadline for sending samples will end on March 20.
The Santiago del Teide City Council has organized the first edition of the “Woman you had to be 2024” Podcast Contest, whose podcast submission period will end on March 20, at 11:59 p.m.; highlighting that the population residing in the municipality may participate, although minors must present authorization granted by their father, mother or legal guardian.
Regarding the theme of the podcasts presented, it will be real equality between women and men, as well as the prevention of gender violence in all its forms, which may be real or fictional stories.
Thus, the works must be presented in mp3 format, and must be accompanied by a document containing the author's personal data - name and surname, date of birth, address, contact telephone number, educational center to which they belong, if applicable. . , title and description of the audio, as well as the participant's email - and send them to podcast@santiagodelteide.es. Each participant may present a proposal, which may be individual or with up to a maximum of 5 participating people, in which case a representative will be appointed and those that contain sexist, xenophobic or offensive connotations against people or institutions will be excluded.
In this sense, the jury will be chaired by the Councilor for Equality and made up of different experts in the field of literature and equal opportunities between women and men, who will be designated as a guarantee of equal participation, by whoever holds the delegation in matter of equality.
As for the prizes, they will be the following:
- 1st PRIZE: €500.00
- 2nd PRIZE: €200.00
- 3rd PRIZE: €100.00
In this way, the total value of the prizes to be awarded will be 800 euros, highlighting that the jury's decision will occur, unless duly justified cause, within a maximum period of 1 month, counting from the date of end of the presentation period. . of the works.
