The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, proceeded to sign, recently, the act of commencement of the restoration works, signaling and homologation of trails to improve connectivity interior of the network of trails of the municipality for whose action is allocate € 80,000 that come from a grant from the Vice-Ministry for the Fight Against Climate Change in the areas of socioeconomic influence of the National Parks of the Canary Islands that it was requested at the time by the City Council. The actions are located covering the trails and their surroundings detailed below:
Section 1: Old royal road that connects the nuclei of El Molledo and Arguayo (PR-TF 65.5).
Section 2: Deviation from the royal road to Las Manchas.
Section 3: Connection of Las Manchas with the viewpoint of the hermitage of Holy Angel.
Section 4: Camino del Panadero (connection between the centers of Arguayo and Tamaimo).
The objective of the project is to carry out cleaning interventions, debris removal and trail clearing; reconstruction and drywall factory repair; the construction of viewpoints and improvement of the underpasses of the insular ring, between others.
