Two and a half hours of guaranteed laughter with a star-studded cast: nine of the most popular comedians from the Canary Islands. On May 4th, Tenerife will host La Quedada del Año 2025, the largest comedy festival in the archipelago, which returns after the success of its first edition in 2024, when it drew more than 5,000 spectators.
Tickets are now available at www.laquedada.es for this authentic laughter marathon, which will once again be held at the Santiago Martín Sports Pavilion in San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
Organized by Palante Producciones, led by Darío López, the event will feature an exceptional lineup. In addition to Darío himself, Abián Díaz, Arístides Moreno, Delia Santana, Ignatius Farray, Kike Pérez, Omayra Cazorla, Petite Lorena, and Víctor Lemes will take the stage. “Friendships must be nurtured; we need to find reasons to get together, and the first edition left us with such fond memories that this gathering seems like the best excuse to get together again,” says Darío López, an artist from Icod who celebrates the Canary Islands' ethos with respect and a great deal of humor.
The Tenerife comedian emphasizes that “the goal is for the audience to experience the show as a great get-together among friends and as something unique in the Canary Islands: it's not easy to bring so many great comedians together on one stage, and that makes this event a great opportunity.”
The 2025 Gathering is sponsored by the Tenerife Island Council, the public company Ideco, and the Canary Islands Government. The organization is supported by Multitrack and includes the collaboration of several companies.
SUPERB CAST
This festival has established itself as a benchmark in the Canary Islands' cultural calendar, bringing together some of the archipelago's most prominent comedians, also gaining exposure beyond the islands.
Abián Díaz (Tenerife): With his alter ego Jose, he combines absurd humor, clumsiness, and tenderness in this character.
Arístides Moreno (Gran Canaria): Masterfully combines music and humor, addressing social issues in a satirical tone through his popular songs.
Delia Santana (Gran Canaria): Stands out for her inventive improvisation and her ability to parody.
Ignatius Farray (Tenerife): Irreverent and unmistakable, this comedian from Granadilla, known for his television and radio shows, has won an Ondas Award and was nominated for an Emmy in 2018.
Kike Pérez (Lanzarote): With forays into film and television, his Canarian-accented humor is full of personal anecdotes from his Island of Volcanoes, where he was a physical education teacher.
Omayra Cazorla (Gran Canaria): A comedian from Ingenio, her wit breaks taboos with her monologues about everyday situations.
Petite Lorena (La Palma): With her self-confidence and charisma, she captivates audiences with her monologues about life in El Paso and her desire to conquer the world while remaining a resident of her town.
Víctor Lemes (Gran Canaria): A singer-songwriter with a biting style, in which he offers humor and social criticism.
