Santiago del Teide has the lowest youth unemployment rate in the entire island of Tenerife
It has a youth unemployment rate of 9.27%
According to data recently published by the Canarian Institute of Statistics (ISTAC), the municipality of Santiago del Teide has the lowest youth unemployment rate (people under 25 years of age) in the entire island of Tenerife with 9.27% when the unemployment rate among minors throughout the island is 21.56%.
These are data that reflect the implementation from the city council of effective employment policies focussed on training and the development of employment plans that have allowed to generate an environment conducive to economic development and the attraction of investment in various sectors and that make it clear that good planning and practical policies can positively impact the economy and the lives of young people.
Acting mayor Emilio Navarro "haunto show his satisfaction with these data and points out that they are an incentive to continue through the road map that we have set ourselves that is none other than to promote policies to promote employment and support the business sector to promote and facilitate access to the labour market not only for our young people but for all age groups."
