Santiago Castellanos and Libertad Rivero absolute winners of the 21km event of the XIII edition of the Trail Run Almonds and Volcanos

 

In the 14km race the absolute winners were Ramses Rodríguez and Sauvanne Vervaene while in the 7 km race the winners were the runner José David and Candy Rodríguez

 

Santiago Castellanos and Libertad Rivero were the absolute winners of the 21km queen race of the XIII edition of the Trail Run Almonds and Volcanos of Santiago del Teide that was valid for the KSeries Canary Islands circuit and that took place this Sunday, April 27 on the trails of the middle-high part of the municipality with departure and arrival in the Abelardo González de Tamaimo square.

 

The podium of the men's category of the 21km race was as follows: in first place, Germán González finished, second place went to Abian Mesa while in third place Jorge Hernández finished.

 

In the women's category, the podium was as follows: in first place, the athlete Libertad Rivero finished, followed by Patricia García and Priscila Pérez.

 

As for the 14km race, the result was as follows: in the men's category the first place went to Ramses Rodríguez, the second place was occupied by José María Rodríguez while the third place went to Daniel Sacramento. As for the women's category in the 14km race, the first place went to Sauvanne Vervaene, second place went to María Luz Heras and third place went to Josefa Magdalena.

 

In the 7k race in the men's category, the first place went to José David Martín followed by the local runner Fernando Arnedo and Ángel Rubén Luis. In the women's category of the 7km race, the first place went to Candy Rodríguez, in second place, Sandra Arevalo entered and in third place finished María Candelaria Barrios.

 

As for the result of the local athletes who did the 21km race, the prizes went to Saulo Gorrín in the men's category, followed by Fran Hernández and Ayoze Évora in third place. In the 14 km race, the local men's podium was composed of Emilio Jesús del Barrio, followed by Víctor José Ramos and third Juan José Expósito while the women's podium was for Mirella Delgado, followed by Fernanda Arnedo and in third place Rebeca Domínguez.

 

In the 7km race the men's podium was for Fernando Arnedo followed by David Idafe Méndez and Piotr Goworek while in women Claudia Pérez finished in first place, followed by Attemisa Fuentes and third Laura Salamanca.

 

The trophy ceremony was attended by the Councillor for Sports, Juan Carlos González, the Councillor for Culture, David Quintero, the Councillor for Finance, Sergio Mendoza, the Councillor for the Interior Noelia Beatriz González, the Councillor for Works and Services, Alexandra León and the Councillor for Commerce of the Cabildo, Krysten Martín.
