The prizes of the VIII Contest of "Ornate Crosses on Facades 2023” were awarded

Through it, we have sought to promote creativity and preserve the customs of the municipality

Recently, the Santiago del Teide City Council presented the prizes to the winners of the VIII edition of the "Cruces Adornadas en Fachadas 2023" Contest, integrated into the cultural project "Crux-23" and whose act of reading the minutes and subsequent delivery was made at the Tamaimo Social Center.

Thus, it is worth mentioning that the winners of the new edition of the aforementioned contest were:

“INDIVIDUAL” CATEGORY:

 First Prize: Alicia León Fleitas from Tamaimo.

Second Prize: Priscila García Santana from El Retamar

Third Prize: Belinda Cairós González de Arguayo.

CATEGORY "ASSOCIATIONS AND/OR COLLECTIVES":

First Prize: San Fernando Rey Parish of Santiago del Teide.

Second Prize: Santa Ana de Tamaimo Festival Commission 2022-2023.

Third Prize: San Pedro de Santiago del Teide Socio-cultural Association.

CATEGORY "EDUCATIONAL CENTERS":

- First Prize: CEIP José Esquivel from Puerto de Santiago.

- Second Prize: CEIP Aurelio Emilio Acostade Arguayo.

- Third Prize: CEIP Tamaimo.

In this act, in which the prize was also awarded to Alexander Rodríguez Lorenzo, author of the cross that participated in the exhibition of crosses "CruXarte Tamaimo: an art walk" that obtained the most "likes" on the consistory's social networks, He proceeded to deliver a gift to the different associations of the Third Age of the municipality as well as to the Association of Neighbors of Tamaimo, for the involvement of each one of them in terms of the good development of the aforementioned event organized on the occasion of the Day of the Cross.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that during the event those gathered there were able to enjoy the musical show "Violetas", with which we were able to enjoy the incredible musical talent of the Majorero timplist Victor Estárico who, accompanied by the voice of the singer Belinda Falcón, revived through her show numerous songs by some of the most powerful women of our time in the music scene.
