Santiago del Teide City Council Honored at the ACYRE Canarias Accomplices Awards

 

The Chinyero Interpretation Center hosted the 2025 Accomplices Awards yesterday evening, Tuesday, April 1, held by the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of the Canary Islands (ACYRE), which recognize the work of industry professionals.

 

One of the awardees was the Santiago del Teide City Council for its demonstrated support for gastronomy in general and for industry professionals in particular. The award was accepted by Mayor Emilio Navarro and Councilor for Local Development and Commerce, Germán Jiménez.

 

The other awardees were:

Makro Canarias.

Orotava Aguacates.

Mundo Menaje.

Mario López.

Víctor Díaz Castro.

Randy Mendiguchía.

 

Other honorees included local chef Rony Reina, winner of the 1st National Competition on "La Vieja" and its Artisanal Fishing, and pastry chef Priscila Medina, winner of the National Gastronomy Competition in the pastry section. Pablo Pastor, president of Acyre Canarias, was also honored and awarded by his association.

 

The event was attended by María Candelaria Padrón González, Minister of Citizen Services and Service Quality, various members of the local government group, and distinguished figures from the island's culinary scene.
