Registration is now open for the 5th Santiago del Teide Aquathlon
This sporting event will take place on Sunday, August 30th, starting and finishing at La Arena Beach. The Santiago del Teide City Council announces that registration is now open for the 5th Santiago del Teide Aquathlon 2026, which will be held on August 30th. La Arena Beach will serve as the start and finish line for competitors, and this year's event includes individual and/or relay participation.
In this combined endurance sport, participating athletes will complete the disciplines of running and swimming in three segments, resulting in the following competition distance:
1st segment: Running, 2,500 meters.
2nd segment: Swimming, 1,000 meters.
3rd segment: Running, 2,500 meters.
As in previous editions, the sporting event will begin at 11:00 AM from Playa de La Arena, with the swimming portion taking place on the beach and the running portion within the town of Playa de la Arena. Participants must be 16 years of age or older (in which case they must present authorization from a parent or legal guardian).
