Ramsés Rodríguez and Simone Fiedler winners of the 19th edition of the Upida del Panadero Vertical Race
It took place this past Saturday, February 3, starting in Tamaimo and finishing at the Arguayo sports center.
The runner Ramses Rodríguez in the men's category and the runner Simone Fiedler in the women's category were the winner and the absolute winner of the 19th edition of the Upida del Panadero Vertical Race that brought together more than 100 athletes.
The start of the test was from the Abelardo González de Tamaimo square towards El Retamar, then it passed through Las Manchas and ended at the Arguayo sports center with a total positive ascent of 468 meters for a total of 5,760 meters of route.
After Marco Rodríguez, the athletes Basile Herter and José Francisco Meneses entered. For their part, in women, after Simone Fiedler, the athlete Emma Ringwald and Elise Bosson entered.
As for the local men's classification of the event, it was as follows: in first place was Fernando Arnedo, second was Javier Amaro and third was Saulo Gorrín. In the local women's category, first place went to Nasheri Carballo.
Present at the trophy presentation were Mayor Emilio Navarro, the Councilor for the Interior, Noelia Navarro, the Councilor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín, the Councilor for Human Resources, Gesabel Dorta and the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Brenda Dévora.
