The Santiago del Teide City Council has opened a public call for applications for the aptitude test required to obtain a municipal taxi driver's license for vehicles registered with the municipality. Those interested in taking the exam must submit their application before April 6, 2026.

Applications can be submitted through the municipal website https://sede.santiagodelteide.es, using a digital certificate or Cl@ve, or in person at the Town Hall's registry offices, attaching a copy of your National Identity Document (DNI) and a Class B driver's license.

To participate in the exam, applicants must meet, among others, the following requirements:

* Hold a Class B driver's license.

* Provide a medical certificate stating that they do not suffer from any infectious or contagious diseases or physical or mental impairments that would hinder the normal performance of the profession.

* Have no criminal record.

* Speak fluent Spanish.

Obtaining a taxi driver's license opens the door to potential employment as a taxi driver, thus contributing to the economic and social development of the municipality. All interested parties are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to become part of a dynamic and constantly evolving sector.
