The City Council is offering grants for the purchase of textbooks and school supplies for the 2025/2026 academic year until May 7.

The purpose of the grant is to provide aid for the purchase of textbooks and/or school supplies for students enrolled in Early Childhood, Primary, and Compulsory Secondary Education.

The Santiago del Teide City Council announces that the application period for financial aid for the purchase of textbooks and/or school supplies for the 2025/2026 academic year for students enrolled in Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education is open until May 7.

The purpose of the grant is to provide aid, on a competitive basis, for the purchase of textbooks and/or school supplies for students enrolled in Early Childhood, Primary, and Compulsory Secondary Education, registered residents of the municipality of Santiago del Teide.

Expenses incurred by the beneficiary that are directly and objectively related to the purpose of the subsidy under the conditions established in the General

Grants, approved by plenary agreement dated February 1, 2006.

Students who meet the following circumstances may apply for the grants covered by this call:

1. Be registered and reside in the municipality of the Historic Village of Santiago del Teide for at least six months prior to the date of application submission.

2. Be enrolled in Early Childhood, Primary, or Compulsory Secondary Education at a public school located in the municipality of the Historic Village of Santiago del Teide, or at a neighboring school for school transportation reasons.

3. The income level of the family unit to which they belong does not exceed the result of the formula established for granting these grants in base no. 6, which takes as a reference the monthly Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income (IPREM) corresponding to the year of the grant application.
