The Los Gigantes Carnival 2026 will be celebrated this weekend.
Specifically, from Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th. This coming weekend, specifically from Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th, the Los Gigantes Carnival 2026 will be celebrated, having been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
The carnival will kick off this Friday, March 13th, with the traditional pageants to elect the children's, senior, and adult queens, accompanied by musical and comedy performances, ending the day with a grand carnival street party.
Saturday, March 14th, will be marked by family activities in the morning and the afternoon with the grand Carnival Parade of Los Gigantes, in which different comparsas, batucadas, and groups from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife carnival will participate. The day will culminate with a grand night of dancing and musical performances.
Finally, on Sunday, March 15th, children's activities will take place, along with the traditional Children's Carnival Cross-Country Race and the closing events of the carnival, including the Wake and Burial of the Sardine, which will bring these festivities to a close.
The Santiago del Teide Town Hall invites residents and visitors to participate in and enjoy the Carnival of the Giants, the oldest carnival in southern Tenerife, a celebration that brings together hundreds of people each year in a festive, family-friendly, and colorful atmosphere.
