The Hotel Royal Sun was the venue, last Friday, February 20th, for the official presentation of the program and the candidates for Adult, Children's, and Senior Queens of the 2026 Los Gigantes Carnival, thus marking the beginning of a very special edition for the municipality.
Under the slogan "Carnival of the Sea," from February 26th to March 8th, the tourist center of Los Gigantes will be filled with rhythm, color, and fantasy, making every corner of Santiago del Teide vibrate in a celebration that pays homage to its maritime essence.
It is worth noting that the event also featured the presence of local resident Dominga Jiménez, recently crowned Queen of the Senior Citizens of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival, whose presence added a particularly emotional touch to the day.
During the presentation, Mayor Emilio Navarro, Councilor for Festivals David Quintero, and the other members of the municipal council present wished all the candidates good luck and encouraged them to fully enjoy this unique and unforgettable experience. The order of appearance on the stage in Plaza Buganvilla, where the "Carnival of the Sea" will soon unfold its magic, was also drawn.
Finally, it should be mentioned that with this event, the Santiago del Teide City Council kicks off a program designed for the enjoyment of residents and visitors, solidifying the Carnival of Los Gigantes as one of the most anticipated events on the municipality's festive calendar.
