The mayor signs the commencement order for the renovation of the Arguayo football field

The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, accompanied by several members of the governing council, signed the commencement order for the renovation of the Arguayo football field this morning, Thursday, April 30.
This project has a total investment of €1,300,000, of which the City Council is contributing €520,000, the Canary Islands Government's Directorate General of Sports is contributing €380,000, and the Tenerife Island Council, through its Sports Infrastructure Plan, is contributing €400,000. The project has a completion time of twelve months.
The ambitious project includes the construction of an artificial turf seven-a-side football pitch, a four-lane athletics track, a pétanque court, a calisthenics area, and a covered grandstand with public restrooms, changing rooms, and storage.
With this project, the local council reinforces its commitment to sports and healthy living by creating a multifunctional sports facility that will host a variety of sporting and leisure activities.
