Javier Rodríguez and Silvia Calzadilla are the overall winners of the 29th edition of the La Arena Beach-Puerto de Santiago Open Water Swim. Local winners included José Carlos Sánchez in the men's category and Bianca Posa in the women's category.

Javier Rodríguez and Silvia Calzadilla were the overall winners in the men's and women's categories, respectively, of the 29th edition of the La Arena Beach-Puerto de Santiago Open Water Swim, which took place last Saturday, July 11th, over a distance of approximately 950 meters.

 

In the men's category, the podium finishers were: Javier Rodríguez in first place, Eduardo Marrero in second, and Wassilij Ukhanov in third.

 

In the women's category, Silvia Calzadilla finished first, Rebeca Calzadilla in second, and Sara Adrián Martín in third.

 

As for the local participants, the awards went to José Carlos Sánchez in the men's category, Emilio Jesús del Barrio in second, and Francisco Jonay Rivero in third.

 

In the local women's category, the results were as follows: Bianca Posa finished in first place, Anastasija Rjabova in second, and Nadiia Shlapachenko in third.

 

Other important categories also took place, such as the one for people with disabilities. In the men's category, Marco Alonso Guerra finished first, followed by Pablo Castro in second, and David González in third.

In the women's category, Beatriz Díaz won, followed by Jennifer Jane. Present at the awards ceremony were the mayor, Emilio Navarro; the councilor for Sports, Juan Carlos González; the councilor for Public Works, Alexandra León; the councilor for Governance, Beatriz González; the councilor for Festivals, David Quintero; and the councilor for Commerce, Germán Jiménez.
