SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 9:30 PM. Marwan—regarded for the past decade as a leading voice in singer-songwriter music and poetry across Spain and Latin America—will present songs from his latest album, *Adrenalina*, while also revisiting many hits from his extensive recording career.
The festival kicks off this Thursday, October 15, with the celebration of Rural Women's Day, featuring a street performance by the Batucada Tamatimba percussion group starting at 5:00 PM. Next, at around 6:00 PM, the 3rd "Ale-Arte: Natural Environment and Surroundings – Trades and Skills" Exhibition will open; this event highlights the role of women in rural areas and will be accompanied by a snack break featuring traditional sayings, verses, and songs.
On Friday, October 16, prior to the performance by comedian David Guapo, the theater group La Conexión will take the stage at 8:00 PM to present the play "Devolvemos la Conexión" (Restoring the Connection). On Saturday, October 17, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, an open-air painting activity for all ages will take place in the Santiago del Teide town square (registration with the Department of Culture required).
