This year, the most outstanding service is, without a doubt, the displacement of personnel, means and food to La Palma due to the eruption of the volcano.

The Volunteer Firefighters of Santiago del Teide presented their annual report for the year 2021 in which it is found that there have been a total of 133, more than double that in 2020, the outputs activated since 112 that this body has had to develop in different interventions throughout the past year.

In this sense, the report should highlight that the working hours have been 178.06 and the average number of firefighters per service performed was 6.80.

Of these outings and interventions we have to highlight the displacement of personnel, means and food to La Palma due to the eruption of the volcano where this park has been actively collaborating with the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, apart from carrying out its own collection of material and food that was taken to the assistance centers (collection).

Another service to highlight was the rescue of the people from Tancón, an incident that unfortunately resulted in two deaths as well as the rescue, on other roads parallel to the Masca ravine while it remained closed, such as dry ravine, Cliff trail , etc. that have led to 25 interventions. After the opening of the Masca ravine, 14 rescue interventions of varying difficulty have already been carried out in that area.

Another intense rescue was that of the ravine of the pigs where he spent the whole night tracking and searching for a missing person, who in the end could be found. As an "out of the ordinary" service, the work is counted to prevent two stranded whales from reaching land, as well as the taking of samples by biologists. One of the whales was taken out by Garachico, the other was taken to the high seas (all under the direction of the Environment of the Cabildo de Tenerife).

The rest of the services can be classified as "normal", such as fires in homes, burning of stubble, garbage, containers, vehicles, etc. and / or checkpoints in sports events and the annual collaboration with the City Council in all its acts.
