Registration is now open for the 27th edition of the Camino de Santiago, Tenerife Jacobean Route 2026.
The event will take place on July 18th and 19th, starting in Los Realejos and arriving the following day in Santiago del Teide.
The Santiago del Teide City Council, in collaboration with the various municipalities along the route, announces that registration is now open for the 27th edition of the Camino de Santiago, Tenerife Jacobean Route 2026, which will take place on July 18th and 19th.

The departure for this year's edition is scheduled for 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 18th, from the Parish of Santiago Apóstol in Los Realejos, passing through emblematic locations such as Realejo Alto, Mirador de La Corona, Los Campeches, El Lagar, Vista de San Felipe, Cueva de la Hiedra, Coladas del Volcán de Garachico, and San José de Los Llanos. The route follows forest tracks, trails, traditional paths, and some sections of asphalt.
On this first day, the group is expected to arrive in San José de Los Llanos (El Tanque) at 7:30 PM, where overnight accommodations will be available in the covered sports center with showers and toilets, and in the recreational area for camping.
On Sunday, July 19th, the pilgrimage will depart early from San José Square in Los Llanos, arriving around 10:30 a.m. at the final destination, the Hermitage of St. James the Apostle in Valle de Arriba. From there, participants will proceed to the main church in Santiago del Teide, where a Mass will be celebrated in honor of the pilgrims.
Free transportation will be available to participants to reach the starting point, the Parish Church of Santiago in Los Realejos, from the following locations and times:
* From La Laguna, at the old bus terminal in San Benito. Departure time: 7:00 a.m.
* From Santiago del Teide, at the Plaza de la Iglesia in El Valle. Departure time: 7:00 a.m.
* From Icod de los Vinos, at the Alteza/Lamp Factory parking lot (near the roundabout exiting the island ring road). Departure time: 7:30 a.m.
* In addition, transportation will be provided for their return to their place of origin after arriving in Santiago del Teide.
