Arona is the municipality chosen to visit in the XXXV edition of the Santiago del Teide senior excursion
This year the senior excursion takes place on Saturday, April 20
Arona is the municipality chosen to carry out the visit and cultural exchange of the “XXXV edition of the Senior Excursion” on April 20, to which all people registered in the municipality over 60 years of age are invited and may be accompanied and/or or accompanied by their spouse, whether or not of the specified age. They may not be accompanied by caregivers, sons and daughters and family members.
The itinerary of this XXXV edition, except for last minute changes, consists of the following route: it will depart at 08:00 in the morning from each of the different specified stops heading towards the south of the island where the first stop will be made. for breakfast and first experiences will be shared.
From here, the delegation will travel to the town of Arona where various sociocultural events will take place between both municipalities and a mass will be celebrated in the Parish of San Antonio Abad, visiting its historic center.
After finishing the events, the delegation made up of almost 500 people will travel to the Xanadú restaurant within the same municipality of Arona to celebrate the lunch of fraternization and brotherhood, as well as the traditional dance-party. Next, after lunch we will head south to the municipality of Candelaria for a visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria, Patron Saint of the Canary Islands and, later, return to the place of origin.
