The mayor presents the program of events for the Carnival of Los Gigantes 2023
The theme in this edition is "The World of Musicals"
The Mayor of Santiago del Teide Emilio Navarro presented, this Wednesday, February 15, the special program for the Carnival of Los Gigantes 2023, which this year is dedicated to the "World of Musicals" and which will take place with a multitude of events from 3 to March 11th.
Together with the mayor, the Councilor for Fiestas, Sergio Mendoza, and the Councilor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín, appeared.
For the mayor, "the Carnival of Los Gigantes, the longest-lived in the south of Tenerife, means more than a celebration, a tourist event that attracts hundreds of tourists and visitors at this time and that for the municipality is a great source of promotion and of economic revitalization. Our people and those who visit us are eager to put on their costumes and go out into the streets since the Los Gigantes carnival is that, a family and safe carnival and that is why it has the acceptance it does".
For his part, the Councilor for Fiestas Sergio Mendoza described the complete program of events for these festivities, which has activities for all ages and many surprises, while the Councilor for Tourism did not hesitate to state with data what carnival means from the point of view of from a tourist point of view for the municipality in terms of visitors and their spending on the days that the festival lasts.
