The city council puts out to tender the project to reform and restore ethnographic elements of Arguayo

The Santiago del Teide City Council has put out to tender the awarding of the contract for the reform and restoration of the ethnographic elements: water jets and tank, Cha Quiteria oven, communal winepress and El Llano path in Arguayo, which has a subsidy from the Vice-Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight Climate Change and Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands within the call for subsidies in Areas of Socioeconomic Influence of the National Parks of the Canary Islands in 2023.

The estimated value of the contract including IGIC amounts to €72,577.93 for an execution period of 3 months and the presentation of offers, through the Public Sector Contracting Platform, ends on May 27 at 5:00 p.m.

The local council, within its planning to improve the destination and conserve our environment, has been working on the municipality's trail network for many years, recovering and maintaining them. In this sense, with the increasingly widespread demand for tourist products linked to Ecotourism, it leads to the use of infrastructures increasingly more comfortable, as well as highlighting all the cultural and heritage elements that serve as an attraction for a visitor who increasingly values ​​cultural and heritage tourism. 

That is why the following actions will be carried out, among others:

*Water jets and tank: Renovation and restoration interventions, consolidation, cleaning and improvement of the cobbled surfaces and recovery of the idea of ​​the original layout of the stairs and paving of the section of street in front of the tank by executing a new pavement in different materials and textures.

* Horno de Cha Quiteria: Demolition of pavements and tree pits for the execution of a new cobblestone pavement, creation of a garden area with shrubby vegetation and existing trees, replacement of the section of wall parallel to San Felipe Street with a railing and replacement of a bench and trash can. , and installation of streetlights with projector-type light points. 

* Communal winery: Demolition of the existing supports of the dornajos and installation of new supports, maintenance work on masonry walls, wood, winery cover and street furniture and lighting, etc.

* Camino El Llano: Restoration of the walls, removal of stones fallen from the road and restitution of masonry to the factory of the side walls and improvement of the pavement.
