The Town Hall presents the 29th Almond Blossom Photography Contest 2026
From February 23 to March 11, the submission period will be open for entries in digital format.
The Town Hall of the Historic Town of Santiago del Teide announces that from February 23 to March 11, the submission period will be open for digital photographs to be entered in the 29th Almond Blossom Photography Contest 2026. Anyone over 18 years of age, regardless of nationality or country of residence, may participate.
The theme must be "Almond Blossom," and the photograph must be taken within the municipality of Santiago del Teide. Furthermore, it should be noted that the photographs—in black and white or color—must be submitted digitally through the website "lopillo.es," accessible via the following link: https://bit.ly/4bIt6wu. The platform to access the competition will be enabled when the submission period begins, that is, on February 23rd.
Entries must be submitted via the online form provided, in PDF format (maximum 5MB). The photograph size must be 80x60 cm, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi suitable for printing.
Regarding the photography categories, this year there will be 3 competition categories: Night Photography, Creative and Conceptual Photography, and Macro Photography.
It should be noted that, as in previous editions, all those who compete in the "macro photography" category will subsequently be required to submit a panoramic image of the location in Santiago del Teide where the photograph was taken as proof of submission. Furthermore, once all the submitted works have been exported to the competition's digital platform, the jury will conduct a selection process on March 13th, choosing those works they deem to be of the highest quality and artistic merit to advance to the final stage of the competition. It is worth noting that these selected works will be produced by the City Council and subsequently exhibited at the Fisherman's Museum starting March 24th, ensuring consistent printing processes, quality, dimensions, and format for each piece.
The jury's decision will be announced on April 7th at the Fisherman's Museum, where the selected works will be on display. The decision will be communicated via press release and the municipal website. Winners will also be notified by telephone.
