The city council incorporates 27 new workers with the second phase of the 2023 Social Employment Plan

 

The Mayor, Emilio Navarro, welcomed this Thursday, June 29, the second group of employees who will be inserted labour thanks to a total annual municipal investment of € 300,000

 

The City Council of Santiago del Teide has hired, from today, Thursday, June 29, and during the next six months, of 27 unemployed people from the municipality, through the Extraordinary Social Employment Program 2023 that is financed by the city council, the Canary Employment Service (P PIEC FUNDS) and the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.

 

This group of workers corresponds to the second phase of a total of 57 unemployed people who have been inserted, labour, during the course of this year 2023 thanks to a municipal investment for this whole year of € 300,000 and a subsidy by the Canary Employment Service of €220,494.95.

 

Mayor Emilio Navarro, who was accompanied by different councillors, welcomed the 27 people who during the coming months carry out support tasks in different municipal areas.

 

The professional categories of the 27 people employed are: 1 foreman, 3 field labourers, 2 environmental educators, 2 administrative with English, 7 construction labourers, 2 masons, 2 home helpers, 4 gardening labourers, 3 administrative and 1 motorcycle labourer.
