Around 500 elderly people from Santiago del Teide gathered yesterday, Sunday, December 11, at the Hotel Landmar Costa Los Gigantes where the traditional Christmas lunch was held, in which the reunion and coexistence of the elderly was encouraged. 60 years of the municipality on the occasion of the imminent arrival of the festivities.
Thus, in said act that was attended by the mayor Emilio Navarro and different members of the government group, the elderly were able to enjoy, previously, a buffet lunch inside said hotel establishment to, later, enjoy the performance end of party carried out by Pepe Benavente. In addition, the City Council gave them a present consisting of a practical shopping cart.
For the council it is a great honor and satisfaction to be able to gather, every year, the elderly on these very important and special dates, which are the perfect example of effort and tenacity for future generations of the municipality.
