Santiago del Teide will make the world's longest turrón this Saturday, measuring 1,100 meters.

More than 3,366 kg of locally sourced products will be used for this project, which would set a new Guinness World Record, with a special emphasis on almonds and honey from the municipality.

This coming Saturday, December 13th, the municipality of Santiago del Teide will make the world's longest turrón using local products. The process will involve chefs and pastry chefs from Acyre Canarias and Madrid, local residents, visitors, and the general public.

If achieved, this milestone would allow Santiago del Teide to enter the official Guinness World Records list, currently held by two Italian pastry chefs with a total length of 1,040 meters.

This commercial activity is organized by the Santiago del Teide City Council, with the collaboration of the Association of Business Owners and Merchants of Santiago del Teide (ASEMTEIDE), Acyre Canarias, and Acyre Madrid.

This trade event will boost tourism in our municipality as a gastronomic destination, as well as promote our local products such as honey and almonds.

Emilio Navarro points out that “with this initiative, we want to project Santiago del Teide as a benchmark for quality, sustainability, and flavor. We are committed to local products because we firmly believe in their potential, their ability to create opportunities, and to put our municipality on the map for reasons that fill us with pride. The World's Longest Turrón will be a celebration of talent, of collaboration between institutions, chefs, and producers, and above all, a tribute to our residents, who, with their daily work, keep our traditions alive. It is an example of how local products can inspire, unite, and transcend borders.”
