The City Council has until October 5 the deadline to qualify for social benefits for the payment of the IBI receipt
This call for grants will be open to neighbours who prove the status of pensioners, long-term unemployed, people with dependants and victims of gender violence
The City Council of Santiago del Teide has approved the granting of subsidies, through the competitive public competition procedure, of aid equivalent to 90% of the full quota of the IBI, to collaborate in the expenses of habitual housing.
This call for grants will be open to neighbours who accredit the status of pensioners, long-term unemployed, people with dependent disabled relatives or victims of gender violence, who pay the real estate tax of their habitual housing, who have a vulnerable social economic situation and who meet and accredit the requirements specified in the Regulatory Bases.
The deadline for submitting applications ends on October 5, being the economic benefit for the following groups:
* Pensioners who receive a payment from a public body, due to retirement, widowhood, orphanhood or disability, or their spouse, if he is the owner of the house.
* People with disabilities (functional or intellectual diversity) or with family members with such a dependent condition: the owner of the house must have a recognised disability in a degree equal to or greater than 65%; or the applicant must prove living with a family member
Up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity in a straight or collateral line that has a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65%.
* Long-term unemployed (or your spouse if you are the owner of the house). For these purposes, it is understood that the long-term unemployed are those who are registered as job seekers in the corresponding Public Employment Services, with a minimum seniority and uninterruptedly of twelve months, prior to the date of application for this subsidy.
*Victims of Gender Violence: those who prove by judicial judgement or restraining order that recognises such a situation.
For the receipt of these aids, it will be an indispensable requirement that the beneficiary is registered and resides in Santiago del Teide with a minimum of one year of seniority in the house for which he requests the subsidy. In addition, you must be the owner, usufructuary or holder of a surface right over the house where you usually reside, provided that it is located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, and that, in addition, it appears as obliged to pay on the receipt of the IBI in relation to said housing.
Finally, the income of the family unit must not exceed the established limits and no more than two homes must be held, among other requirements.
