Open the period to participate in the III TikTok Contest "Woman... You had to be"

The deadline for sending the audiovisual samples of TikTok will end on March 13

The Santiago del Teide City Council has organized a new edition of the TikTok Contest “Mujer…Tenías que Ser 2023” whose deadline for the presentation of the audiovisuals will end on March 13; highlighting that the general population over 16 years of age residing in Santiago del Teide as well as the students who are studying at the IES Tamaimo may participate in it.

The theme of the participating TikTok audiovisuals must have the theme that concerns the fight for gender equality (equality in sports, in job opportunities, in housework, reporting toxic relationships, opposition to machismo, empowerment, detection of micro-machismo, fight against gender violence,...)

Thus, audiovisual works may contain real or fictitious stories and may only be made through the TikTok application, highlighting that they must have a maximum duration of 60 seconds and only one proposal may be submitted per participant and/or group; although they may be excluded in the event that they have sexist, xenophobic or offensive connotations against people or institutions.

Regarding the modality of the contest there will be two in contention:

Modality 1 (Free Participation) for any person over the age of 16 residing in the municipality and Modality 2 (IES Tamaimo) for the students of the educational center who may present work individually and/or in groups. Both modalities of the contest will send their audiovisual through the WETRANSFER platform to the following address: igualdadsdt@gmail.com.On the other hand, all the audiovisuals presented will be subject to a series of selection criteria by the jury appointed for this purpose and which will have the following premises: - Message that is transmitted and adaptation to the theme of the contest: Up to a max. of 8 points. - Quality in its execution: Up to a max. of 4 points. - Creativity, originality and coherence of the same: Up to a max. of 4 points. In this sense, the jury will be chaired by the Councilor for Equality and made up of different personalities who are experts in gender, associated with the audiovisual and equality world, highlighting that the jury's decision will be communicated to the winners during the month of March. AWARDS MODE 1: - 1st PRIZE: €500.00 - 2nd PRIZE: €300.00 - 3rd PRIZE: €200.00 MODE 2: -1st PRIZE: €300.00 - 2nd PRIZE: €250.00 - 3rd PRIZE: €150.00 In this way, the total value of the prizes to be awarded will be 1,700 euros, highlighting that no more than one prize may be awarded to the same author, as well as that the jury may declare the prize void if it considers that the works presented do not have the required quality.
