Ramsés Rodríguez and Guada Arnedo, winners of the XX Vertical Race Climb of the Baker 2025
It was held last Saturday, February 8, with departure in Tamaimo and finish at the Arguayo sports centre
The runner Ramsés Rodríguez in the men's category and the local runner Guada Arnedo in the women's category were the absolute winner of the XX edition of the Carrera Vertical Sumbida del Baker, which brought together about 130 athletes.
The start of the test was made from Calle Méndez Núñez de Tamaimo in the direction of El Retamar, then passed through Las Manchas and ended at the Arguayo sports centre, with a total positive ascent of 468 metres to make a total of 5,760 metres of route.
After Ramsés Rodríguez, the athletes Germán González and Agustín David Reyes entered. For their part, in women, after Guada Arnedo the athlete Roberta Kereki and Priscilla Vernini entered.
As for the local men's classification of the test, it was as follows: in first place, Saulo Gorrín entered, second was Tanausú Martel and third was Ángel Cristo Reverón. In the local women's category, the first place went to Guada Arnedo, while the second position went to Marta Szep and, finally, Attemisa Fuentes rose with the third classification.
The trophy ceremony was attended by the Councillor for the Interior, Noelia Navarro, the Councillor for Sports, Juan Carlos González, the Councillor for Social Services, Tania Cuadrado and the Councillor for Human Resources, Gesabel Dorta.
