Santiago del Teide organises the VII edition of the San Andrés Craft Car Construction Contest

 

The maximum registration deadline will be until 9:00 p.m. on November 28

 

The Santiago del Teide City Council announces that the deadline for registration of the VII edition of the San Andrés 2024 Artisanal Car Construction Competition is now open, which will take place in the town of Arguayo on November 29 from 4:00 pm.

 

In this contest, which will have the maximum registration deadline of 9:00 p.m. on November 28, those young residents of Santiago del Teide who are between 4 and 11 years old in the children's category and between 12 and 35 years old in the youth category will be able to participate.

 

Thus, the theme of the contest will be free, although in the design, although it can be done with any material, the use of pyrotechnic elements or of any other nature that may involve the minimum risk of causing any damage or injury to any person or element will be prohibited. Likewise, it should be noted that the rules of the competition will admit the use of structures or mechanisms with or without wheels - not motorised - that facilitate movement.

 

Thus, the following prizes will be determined - not being compatible to obtain the two prizes in the same category:

 

* Best children's design (from 4 to 11 years old): Batch of teaching material worth €100.00.

 

* Best youth design (from 12 to 35 years old): Prize 150.00 euros.

 

* Prize for the "fastest" (from 12 years old up to 35 years old): Prize 150.00 euros.
