The mayor presented the second phase of the social employment agreement "Santiago del Teide Emplea 2025"
Through this employment project, 26 people from the municipality have been hired
Mayor Emilio Navarro accompanied by the Councillor for Employment, Germán Jiménez and the Councillor for Human Resources, Gesabel Dorta, recently presented the second phase of the social employment agreement called "Santiago del Teide Emplea 2025".
Through it, the city council has hired 26 unemployed people in the municipality for the next six months, through a project funded by the consistory itself, the Canary Employment Service (FONDOS PIEC) and the Government of the Canary Islands in which its participants will be distributed in the different municipal areas such as administration, works and services, culture, social services, etc.
The agreement that came into operation on June 30 has until July 9 training with a duration of forty hours on occupational risk prevention, gender equality, social skills, computer literacy and work guidance.
For the two phases of the 2025 agreement, the city council has contributed a total investment of €298,999.23 while the Canary Employment Service has contributed an investment of €260,479.35.
