The Hotel La Casona del Patio hosted the official presentation of The MasterChef Challenge this morning, Thursday, June 25th. The competition will take place this coming weekend with two days of events, transforming the municipality into the national epicenter of gastronomy, entertainment, and digital content creation.
Presidents at the press conference included the Councilor for Governance, Noelia Beatriz González Navarro, who apologized for the mayor's absence due to scheduling conflicts; the Councilor for Commerce of the Tenerife Island Council, Krysten Martín; the Councilor for Commerce, Germán Jiménez; and the CEO of MasterChef, Daniel Muñoz.
The event is part of the second edition of The MasterChef Challenge, a participatory project that is part of the world's most important culinary talent show. The digital talent show will transform the Casona del Patio and the Santiago del Teide town square into a grand culinary event. Alongside the challenges faced by the 90 contestants, workshops, tastings, raffles, and public cooking demonstrations will take place.
The initiative is organized by the Tenerife Island Council, through its Department of Commerce and Business Support, in collaboration with the Santiago del Teide Town Council, and with the support of various entities, institutions, and companies.
One of the main attractions of this edition will be the participation of prominent content creators, entertainment personalities, and culinary experts who will serve as Team Leaders for the competition.
Among them are Raquel Meroño and her daughter Martina, Nagore Robles, Rubén García, Estefanía de Andrés, Luzu, Chefenials, and Daniel del Toro, who will accompany and advise the participants during the challenges.
The program features, among others, comedian, actor, and presenter Alex O’Dogherty, who will serve as the event's official commentator.

The Santiago del Teide Town Hall announces that the Titsa bus line 462 between Santiago del Teide, Tamaimo, Puerto de Santiago, and Los Gigantes will have additional departures over the weekend. Free parking has also been made available near the municipal cemetery for those attending the event.
