Santiago del Teide Welcomes Christmas with its Traditional Christmas Lights Switch-On in Los Gigantes
Once again, the magic of Christmas illuminated the municipality of Santiago del Teide with the traditional Christmas lights switch-on, which took place yesterday, November 30th, in Plaza Buganvilla in Los Gigantes. A large crowd of residents and visitors gathered to officially kick off the extensive festive program for this time of year.
Mayor Emilio Navarro, accompanied by members of the new Teneris Solidaria association, was in charge of switching on the Christmas lights, a symbolic gesture that flooded the plaza with light and emotion, marking one of the most anticipated and special moments of the year.
The Christmas show, narrated by presenter Pilar Rumeu and entitled "The Christmas Lights Factory," combined music, magic, and tradition with the projection of a moving video mapping display on the church façade. Likewise, artist Naomi Reverón and the group Christmas Tunes provided the soundtrack to an evening filled with joy and Christmas spirit.
With this event, the Santiago del Teide City Council officially inaugurated the Christmas season, which will be packed with family-friendly and festive activities for all ages.
