Singer Rosario Flores and comedian J.J. Vaquero will perform at the Santa Ana Festival in Tamaimo.
The singer will perform on Sunday, July 26, starting at 9:30 p.m., while the comedian will perform on Thursday, July 30, starting at 9:00 p.m.
The star performance by Rosario Flores, daughter of the legendary Lola Flores, is the main attraction of the 2026 Santa Ana Festival in the town of Tamaimo, which will begin this Saturday, July 25, and run until Sunday, August 2. The festival boasts a full program, which also includes a performance by comedian J.J. Vaquero on July 30.
The festivities will begin this Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 a.m. with the traditional ringing of bells and a parade led by the local percussion group Tamatimba and the 101 Brass Band, announcing the start of the celebrations. Starting at 10:00 AM, the Radio Curbelo team will arrive to provide entertainment for the festivities.
At 9:00 PM, Holy Mass in honor of Saint Anne will begin, officiated by Parish Priest Father Julián Azcárate and sung by the Tinixara Folk Group. Following the Mass, a procession of the venerated image, along with Our Lady of Peace and Saint Joachim, will take place, accompanied by the Santiago del Teide Municipal Band, local authorities, and the faithful, along the traditional route. The procession will also feature a fireworks display by Canary Fiestas. Finally, starting at 11:00 PM, a lively street party will begin, featuring performances by Ni 1 Pelo de Tonto, Orquesta Sabrosa, Gauracha, and Arodi Llanos.
On Sunday, July 26, the main day of the patron saint's feast will be celebrated, beginning at 12:00 noon with Holy Mass officiated by Bishop Eloy Santiago and sung by the Voces para la Esperanza choir. Following the Mass, the procession of the venerated image of Saint Anne will take place, accompanied by the Santiago del Teide Municipal Band and the La Esperanza Musical Group of La Guancha, along the traditional route and joined by local authorities and the faithful. During the procession, a musical offering will be given by Dulce Barrios and Samuel Labrador. At 9:30 p.m., the Grand Gala of Saint Anne 2026 will begin, presented by Alicia León, with a performance by the Fran Chafino Dance Company and a special appearance by Rosario Flores.
On Monday, July 27, at 8:00 p.m., the Day of Traditions will be celebrated with performances by the Los Cardones de Tamaimo Association Theater and the Cherfe Theater. On Tuesday, July 28th, at 5:00 PM, the 8th edition of the "Cheo Bonifacia" Evite Tournament will take place, followed at 7:00 PM by the children's festival "The Jungle of Joy," featuring local children and presented by Edi Reyes, with the collaboration of David Borrás and Jazmine, and a performance by the acrobat Chico.
On Wednesday, July 29th, at 7:00 PM, the "Taifas Afternoon" will feature performances by AFC Raíces de Santiago del Teide, AF Tayme, AFC Araza, and will conclude with the Parranda Chasnera. On Thursday, July 30th, starting at 5:00 PM, the 4th annual "David El Bicho" Domino Tournament will be held, and at the same time, the 6th annual Santa Ana Futsal Tournament will take place at the municipal sports center. At 9:00 PM, there will be a Comedy Night featuring Imprudentes Teatro and a special performance by J.J. Vaquero.
On Friday, July 31st, at 5:00 PM, Komba Producciones will present a children's festival. At 11:00 PM, the Tamaimero festival will begin with performances by Maquinaria Band, Henry Méndez, Maraury Band, and Yet Garbey. On Saturday, August 1st, at 11:00 AM, there will be bouncy castles and a foam party in Abelardo González Square as part of Santiago del Teide's Healthy Summer program. From 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., a gathering of traditional folk music groups will take place, featuring Parranda La Quincena, Parranda El Farola, Cañoneros de Antaño, Juan El Parranda, Parranda Recordar es Vivir, Parranda El Pólvora, and Parranda Teide. At 11:00 p.m., a Latin music event will be held with Orquesta Sabrosa, DJ Chris Hernández, Ledes Díaz, and Latin Sound.
On Sunday, August 2nd, at 11:00 a.m., the second annual Tamaimo Open Water Swim will take place, starting from Calle Real and ending at the town square. From 7:30 p.m. onwards, the closing festival will feature performances by Jeita and soloists Miriam Reyes and Kiko Ruíz, hosted by Jaime Hernández. Following the festival, there will be a dance with Luis Deseda.
