The City Council announces the 40th edition of the "Corners of Santiago 2026" Painting and Photography Contest

 

Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on July 23rd.

 

The Santiago del Teide City Council announces that the submission period for the "40th edition of the Corners of Santiago Photography and Painting Contest" is open until 11:59 p.m. on July 23rd. The contest is open to all individuals over 18 years of age, residing in the Canary Islands and/or any other territory, provided they were born in the Canary Islands and can prove it.

 

The theme must be "Corners of Santiago," understood as a representative sample of hidden corners, picturesque landscapes, ethnography, etc., of the municipality of Santiago del Teide. Entries must be original and unpublished and may not have been previously submitted to any other photography contest or competition. Participants are solely responsible for their work and any copyright claims.

 

Regarding the deadline for submitting entries, it will be 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, July 23rd. The jury's decision will be made between July 24th and 25th, and the announcement will take place on July 25th, coinciding with the celebration of the Patron Saint Festivities of Santiago del Teide.

 

For the "Painting" category, the technique is open, and the artwork must have a minimum size of 50 cm high x 65 cm wide. The prizes are as follows:

 

FIRST PRIZE........................... 740.74 euros

 

SECOND PRIZE........................ 300.00 euros

 

THIRD PRIZE........................... 150.00 euros

 

As for the "Photography" category, entries must be digital files in JPEG format, with dimensions of 40x60 cm and a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. They cannot exceed 10MB in size. They can be in color or black and white, and manipulation with subtle variations is permitted.

SECOND PRIZE......................... 200.00 euros

THIRD PRIZE............................ 150.00 euros
