The City Council Announces the Jury's Decision for the 28th "Almond Blossom" Photography Contest

The 18th "Almond Blossom" Photography Contest has its winners. The winners were announced this Friday, April 11, at the Fisherman's Museum in Puerto de Santiago, where all the photographs that had made the first cut and were therefore eligible for the prizes were on display.

This year's edition featured three categories: night photography, creative and conceptual photography, and macro photography.

The jury appointed for this purpose determined the following result:

NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY

First prize, valued at €300, went to the work entitled "Blossoming Under a Starry Silence," by Javier Gea Leiva. Second prize, valued at €200, went to the photograph titled "First Row for Romantics" by Ilian Smirnov, while third prize, valued at €150, went to the work titled "The Pink Hour" by Cristina María Hernández Díaz.

CREATIVE AND CONCEPTUAL PHOTOGRAPHY

First Prize, valued at €300, went to the work "Almendros en Movimiento" by Alejandrina Hernández. Second Prize, valued at €200, went to the photograph entitled "Sueños de invierno" by Juan Oliva González, while Third Prize, valued at €150, went to the work entitled "Alma" by Francisco Javier García Lima.
