The City Council Announces the Winners of the 10th Adorned Crosses on Facades Competition 2025
More than 20 crosses participated in this edition
The Adorned Crosses on Facades Competition took place last Saturday, May 3rd, to commemorate the Day of the Cross in the municipality. On this occasion, more than 20 crosses participated in various categories: individual or private, collective and/or association, as well as educational centers. The competition was part of the "Crux25" event program.
Following the visit of the appointed jury, the first prize in the individual category, valued at €200, went to Emelina Trujillo Fleitas. The second prize, worth €150, went to Priscila García Santana, while the third prize, worth €100, went to Belinda Cairós González.
In the association and/or collective category, the winners were, first place, the San Fernando Rey Parish of Santiago del Teide. Second place went to the Brisas del Puerto Widows Association, while third place went to the Tercera Association. Los Cardones Elementary School. The prizes awarded in this category are €400, €200, and €100, respectively.
Finally, in the educational center category, first prize went to Tamaimo Elementary School, second prize went to Esquivel Elementary School in Puerto de Santiago, and third place went to Feliciano Hernández García Elementary School in Santiago del Teide. The prizes awarded in this category are €300, €200, and €100, respectively, redeemable for educational materials.
