The Santiago del Teide City Council has made known to the winners of the V edition of the Literary Contest "Letras Líricas de Santiago" coinciding with the celebration of the Festivities of the municipality and in which more than 100 people from different parts of the world. Thus, in the "Short Story" category, the first prize, valued at 300 euros, was won by Herminia Dionis Piquero -from Huesca- with his work titled "Clean Water". The second prize, endowed with 150 euros, fell to Santiago Agustín Viñolo -from Buenos Aires, Argentina- with the work entitled “Instructions to be happy", and finally, Jesús María Pérez García -from Álava, País Vasco- won the Special Prize -valued at 200 euros- with his work "Nostalgia a Dentelladas". Regarding the modality of "Poetry", the prizes were the following: the first prize, with an amount of 300 euros, went to Vesna Floric -from Salamanca- with the poetry entitled"Bajo la mulberry" & the second prize, endowed with an amount of 150 euros, was for Wilfrido Rodríguez Orozco -from Colombia- with the work titled "La Cantera". The Special Prize, endowed with 200 euros, fell to María Sonia Rodríguez Herrera -from Santiago del Teide-, with the work entitled "Always here". Finally, in the “LOA” category, the first prize and second prize, valued at 300 and 150 euros respectively, were declared deserts, while the special prize, valued at 200.00 euros, fell on José Antonio Martínez González -from Albacete- with his work “Santo Loor Santiaguero".
