Marco Rodríguez and Kayla Casaletto winners of the XVIII edition of the Baker's Climb Vertical Race

It was carried out this past Saturday, February 4, starting in Tamaimo and finishing in the town of Arguayo.

The runner Marco Rodríguez in the men's category and the runner Kayla Casaletto in the women's category were the winner of the 18th edition of the Baker's Climb Vertical Race, which brought together 180 athletes.

The test started from the Abelardo González de Tamaimo square in the direction of El Retamar, then passed through Las Manchas and ended in Arguayo with a total positive ascent of 468 meters for a total of 5,760 meters of travel.

After Marco Rodríguez the athletes Jorge Hernández and Eloy Ramos entered. For their part, in the women's category, after Kayla Casaletto, the local athlete Guada Arnedo and Elisabeth Davis entered.

The local male classification of the event was as follows: Omar Martín entered first, Fernando Arnedo second and Tanausú Martel third. In the local female category, Guada Arnedo entered first, Carmen Masito in second place and Rebeca Domínguez finished in third place.

Present at the awards ceremony were Mayor Emilio Navarro, the First Deputy Mayor, Ibraim Forte, Councilor for Sports Juan Carlos González and Councilor for Commerce Krsyten Martín.
