Santiago del Teide, an example of tourist loyalty in the Canary Islands

On World Tourism Day, two marriages that have been more than 30 and 40 years old, respectively, were honoured, staying in establishments in the municipality

Coinciding with World Tourism Day that was celebrated this Tuesday, September 27, the City Council of Santiago del Teide in collaboration with the hotels Barceló Santiago and Tui Blue Los Gigantes made a beautiful and emotional tribute to the marriage Bruno Thüring and Silvia Dzonsko as well as to the marriage John Peters and Elisabeth Peters as examples of tourist loyalty in our municipality.

In the case of the couple Bruno Thüring and Silvia Dzonsko, the tribute was made at the facilities of the Barceló Santiago hotel where the councillor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín in municipal representation together with the director of the hotel Julio Barrientos hotel and staff of the establishment delivered gifts to that marriage that have been faithful to this hotel complex for more than 30 years.

For her part, the tribute to the marriage John Peters and Elisabeth Peters took place at the facilities of the Tui Blue Los Gigantes hotel where the councillor and director of the aforementioned establishment Crisanto Román Montoya presented gifts to the couple in gratitude for their more than 40 years of loyalty to the hotel and therefore to the municipality

From municipal sources it is pointed out that Santiago del Teide is an example of tourist loyalty throughout the Canary Islands since it is very difficult to find anywhere on our islands people like Mr. Thüring or the Peters family who have been visiting and staying in a hotel in Santiago del Teide and our islands for 30, 40 and even about 50 years.
