The City Council presents the XXVI edition of the Almendro en Flor 2023 Photography Contest From January 21 to February 12, the period for sending, in digital format, the applicant samples will be open The Santiago del Teide City Council announces that from January 21 to 12 of that month, at 11:59 p.m., the period for sending in digital format the photographic works that will compete in the XXVI Almendro Photography Contest will be open. en Flor 2023, which can be attended by all people over 18 years of age, of any nationality and country of residence. The theme must be about the "Almond Blossom" being for this mandatory that the place of the photograph is in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. In addition to this, it is worth mentioning that the applicant photographs - in black and white or color, must be submitted in digital format through the web: mundoarti.com, where the requested personal documentation and the photograph / s in PDF format must be attached, high resolution with a maximum of 300 pixels and measures 60.5 cm x 50 cm.Likewise, a maximum of 2 works per author may be presented, highlighting that the registration of participation will be made exclusively through the aforementioned website, where the requested personal documentation and the photograph / s in JPG format, with a weight of up to 5MB, will be uploaded. , as well as the completion of the technical fields of the work, indicating the place where it has been taken. It should be noted that, as in previous editions, all those who compete through a photograph taken by means of a close-up, will later be required a panoramic image of the place in Santiago del Teide where the photograph has been taken as proof. As for the jury, it will be made up of a President and will have two members -people related to and qualified in the art of photography-, acting as secretary of the jury, without voice or vote, a technician from the Department of Culture. Likewise, and once all the competing works have been exported to the corresponding digital platform of the contest, the jury will carry out a screening process, which will take place on February 15, selecting those works that they consider to be of the highest quality and artistic richness so that they, in turn, proceed to the last phase of the contest. It should be noted that these selected works will be those that are materialized by the City Council to later be exhibited in municipal offices from March 1; thus ensuring the same printing process, quality, dimension and format in each one of them. The jury's decision will take place on March 15 at the municipal offices located for it, where the works selected in the previous process will be exhibited, although the decision will be communicated through a press release and municipal website.
