Santiago del Teide presents the first edition of the "Santiago de Letras 2025" Festival
On September 12, 13, and 14, the municipality will host numerous literary events.
The Santiago de Letras Festival is now ready for its first edition, which will be held on September 12, 13, and 14, 2025, in Santiago del Teide. With a diverse, intense, and vibrant program, the festival will transform our municipality into a true literary oasis, bringing together prominent names in Spanish fiction, local authors, poets, readers, and lovers of the word.
After the initial announcement of figures such as Manuel Vilas, Emma Lira, and Teresa López Cerdán, a full program has now been revealed, including more than 20 activities, including presentations, workshops, shows, storytelling, and school activities.
A festival that begins in the classroom
On Friday, September 12th, activities kick off in the municipality's schools, where literary sessions and creative workshops will be held to introduce literature to young people, sowing the seeds of reading from an early age.
Saturday: From the Word Walk to the Big Stage
Saturday the 13th will be a day packed with activities for all audiences:
• Parade, opening ceremony, and official twinning with the Encamiño Festival of Galicia.

The walking writing workshop, The Path of Words, led by Jesús Barranco, will also be held, a unique experience that fuses nature and creativity. This activity requires prior registration.
Throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, there will also be a permanent children's area with activities, games, and workshops designed for children to enjoy literature as a family.
Saturday afternoon will feature storytelling with Sira and Ana Larraz, as well as the poetry-musical performance Doble Esencia, and will conclude with an exclusive themed dinner with Manuel Vilas at the Hotel Rural La Casona del Patio (limited capacity and reservation required).
