The City Council of Santiago del Teide will offer from 1 to April 28 a series of sports activities under the umbrella of the Sports and Health Week initiative, with the aim of promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles. Inside of programming talks and health days are offered, which will have place in different municipal spaces, with the purpose of promoting the awareness and education regarding health care, as well as sports practice, thus resulting in the improvement of the quality of community life.  In this sense, on Wednesday, April 6, at Avenida or Plaza de Puerto de Santiago will develop the day of sports in the street, where they will be held, between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., activities such as 3x3 soccer, mini-basketball, athletics, ping-pong, among others.   Next, a talk will be given by the hand of the sports psychologist Alejandro Hernández González. On Thursday, April 7, in the Norberto García de La Vigilia square, will hold a healthy play park and a health fair, where there will be activities such as taking weight, glycemia, blood pressure and CPR samples, all this between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Then there will be a Healthy Song made by Komba Producciones. On its wall, the Plaza Santa Ana de Tamaimo square will host the Friday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. an event where they will exhibit the different sports modalities currently offered by the City Council, among them, Dances and Dance, Taekwondo, and Physical Maintenance. On the same day, from 7:00 p.m. to At 8:00 p.m. there will be an informative talk about the sports nutrition for boys and girls, from the hand of Doctor José Alejandro Medina, specialist in the matter.  To end this week's programming, on Saturday, April 9 in the vicinity of the Hotel Landmar Costa los Gigantes will carry out the Landmar Solidarity Night Race, which will have two modalities, one for children and one for adults.
