The City Council of Santiago del Teide announces that after the registration closes, a total of 220 cyclists will take the start, this Sunday, June 12, starting at 09:00 a.m., in the VIII edition of the traditional Santiago Cycling Tour of Teide.
This test will start and finish at Plaza Abelardo González de Tamaimo and after 51 km of cycling route, it will have the last 6 km of ascent to Tamaimo as a time trial at a competitive level and where the final classifications will be defined. The timed part will take place from the Eva Building at the entrance of LosGigantes to the Plaza
Abelardo Gonzalez.
The route is as follows: it leaves Tamaimo then goes up to Santiago del Teide, Arguayo, Chío, Guía de Isora, Armeñime, Alcalá, Puerto de Santiago and back to Tamaimo, with the maximum time to cover the distance being 5 hours.
The cycling tour that is one of the great sports events in the municipality will have 2 intermediate aid stations located at the La Casona del Patio hotel and the Landmar Costa Los Gigantes hotel.
