Santiago del Teide is preparing to celebrate the festivities of the town of El Retamar this year 2022, in honor of the Virgen del Rocío and San Lorenzo Mártir, which will be held on June 4 and 5, with a program full of activities and events liturgical.
On Saturday, June 4, starting at 11:00 am, there will be activities for the little ones, with bouncy castles and children's workshops. That same afternoon, starting at 6:00 p.m., the Children's Festival will be held with performances by the Clown Floon and the magician Malcolm.
The Holy Mass will be celebrated on Saturday night, officiated by the Parish Priest D. Víctor Manuel Fernández Suárez. Next, the procession will take place along the usual route, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide, local authorities and faithful. At the end, there will be a pyrotechnic offering and festival enlivened by LatinSound.
On Sunday, June 5, starting at 1:30 p.m., the Holy Mass will be celebrated in honor of the Virgen del Rocío and San Lorenzo Mártir. Then food offering and musical offering. At the end of the Holy Mass, there will be a great paella for all the people attending with the performance of Luis de Seda.
