The Mayor, Emilio Navarro, recently signed the reconsideration act with which the actions to improve access to urban centers began: Santiago del Teide Ecotur Route, which have an execution period of 12 months and a total budget of 37,596 €.23.
The scope of action of these maintenance works (cleaning and clearing, improvement of the pavement of the roads, surface regularization,...) is found in different locations of the PR-TF65 trails, the following being the same:
∙ PR-TF 65, ACCESS TO EL MOLLEDO: The connection with the path is located at the end of La Calzada street, in the center of El Molledo. Once the asphalt section of the street is finished, the section on land begins, coinciding with the bed of the Valle ravine.
∙ PR-TF 65, ACCESS TO TAMAIMO: The connection with the trail is located at the end of Guama street. One time
When the paved section is finished, the dirt roads begin.
∙ SL-TF 201, ACCESS TO ARGUAYO: The connection with the trail is located on El Cercado street.
∙ SL-TF 60.2, ACCESS TO LAS MANCHAS: Connecting to the north with Las Manchas up to Calvary.
The sites of this project are inserted in a rural environment with high landscape, natural and ethnographic values. In this sense, it is worth highlighting the proximity of protected natural spaces such as the Teno Rural Park, the existing network of trails and rural roads, the agricultural landscape or the different elements of cultural interest that are distributed throughout the municipality.
The Ecotur-Santiago del Teide route arises as part of the development of the ECOTURMAC project to which the municipality of Santiago del Teide is attached as one of its partners, which receives financing through the Interreg funds for Macaronesia.
