Santiago del Teide joins the E.P.I.C. Network, the first Spanish Network of Smart Connected Pools

Thanks to the exclusive NAGY technology, the Pancracio Socas García Sports Complex will enjoy a safer and more fun swimming service

The pool at the Pancracio Socas García Sports Complex will be digitalized to collect real-time information about aquatic activity. The digitalization of said pool will allow this facility to be part of the Spanish network of smart connected pools (EPIC), promoted by the Spanish Swimming Federation through Next Generation European funds.

The project, which will be available starting next September, is based on the implementation of sensors and chips both in the pool glass and in the swimmers' goggles, with the aim of collecting information in real time about the activity. aquatic These data will be reflected both on a large screen located next to the pool and in an application designed for this purpose.

With this technology, it is possible to monitor sports activity more precisely and improve the safety of swimmers, since the system sends alerts to monitors or lifeguards in case a swimmer remains underwater longer than usual.

Thanks to the E.P.I.C Network. Swimmers will be able to participate in ranking, solidarity challenges, events and virtual competitions together with more than 100 national pools participating in this project.
