The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, has recently signed the decree authorizing the relocation of residents to their usual homes located on Calle Virgen del Carmen, with government numbers nº9, nº11, nº13, nº14, nº15, nº17 and nº19 after the report issued by the director of the work.

This report shows that the works are being carried out in accordance with the planning agreed with the contractor company, having filled in and compacted the section of road affected by the collapse. In addition, the sanitation network that runs along the road has been replaced as well as the connection of the houses to it and that the sidewalk next to the houses is being demolished and replacing it with the services that it had, at the same time that the sidewalk is executed on the opposite side, so that despite the continuation of the works, the residents of the same can return to their homes in complete safety.

Likewise, marked itineraries have been enabled for the exclusive transit of the inhabitants of these homes, for which pedestrian walkways and other actions will be enabled to minimize inconvenience until the complete completion of the work, which is expected to conclude in November. But since it is an ordinary work of urbanization and laying of service networks, it does not prevent residents from returning to their homes.
