Mayor Emilio Navarro recently visited the facilities of Dailyse Tenerife, a private dialysis center located in Puerto de Santiago, where the managers of the company, Klaus and Jörg Peters, showed the mayor the facilities and the first-class team with the one they count
The center has four hemodialysis rooms, some even with direct views of the sea for about 30 people. Last year, in a plenary session, the City Council of Santiago del Teide requested the use of these luxury facilities so that our neighbors and people who came from other neighboring municipalities could receive dialysis treatment.
Since this center has all the requirements and accrediting permits of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, the situation and daily transfer of patients from our municipality and the adjoining ones who, in many cases, have to move to Santa Cruz or to the north of the island to receive treatment.
For this to happen, the Ministry of Health must assess the proposal approved in a plenary session by the City Council, which is none other than changing the concert it maintains and reaching a public-private agreement so that the Daiylese Tenerife center becomes a regional point for the management of chronic kidney patients in need of dialysis treatment.
