The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, accompanied by the Councilor for the Environment, Luz Goretti Gorrín, municipal technicians and the winning company proceeded to sign this Friday, March 11, the minutes of reception of the restoration, signaling and homologation works of trails to improve the inland connectivity of the local trail network.  

For this action, €80,000 were allocated from a subsidy from the Vice-Ministry for the Fight Against Climate Change in the areas of socio-economic influence of the National Parks of the Canary Islands, which was requested at the time by the City Council.

The actions covered the trails and their surroundings that are detailed below:

· Section 1: Old royal road that joins the towns of El Molledo and Arguayo (PR-TF 65.5).

. Section 2: Deviation from the royal road towards Las Manchas.

· Section 3: Connection of Las Manchas with the viewpoint of the hermitage of Santo Ángel.

· Section 4: Camino del Panadero (connection between the towns of Arguayo and Tamaimo).

The objective of the project has been to carry out cleaning interventions, removal of rubble and clearing of paths; the reconstruction and repair of dry masonry factories; the construction of viewpoints and the improvement of the underpasses of the insular ring, among others.
