The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, recently signed the act of commencement of construction work on a section of pavement on Malpaís street in Tamaimo, specifically, from the beginning of the street near the general highway until connecting with the sidewalk that is near IES Tamaimo, always on the right side of the street in an upward direction.

For this purpose, the City Council will invest an amount greater than € 18,000 in order to enable and execute a pedestrian crossing for the improvement and conditioning of said area, which is very busy due to the presence of CEIP Tamaimo, the soccer field, the Tamaimo Institute. as well as single-family homes that guarantee the safety of IES Tamaimo students, pedestrians and residents of the area.

The works will consist of the demolition of asphalt pavement, concrete curb, earthmoving, pipe ducting, filling and replacement of curb and concrete slab, for the adaptation of a pedestrian crossing that provides security and is in line with the urban image of area.
